| KILN HOUSE LUNCHEON AND DINNER
PARTIES The idea of hosting parties at the Kiln House came from Sues three month experience working in Switzerland. The American author William F Buckley and his wife Pat entertained glamorous and famous friends for lavish lunch and dinner parties in a grand chalet set on a slope in a winter wonderland. Sue, working alongside the talented chef who was a close college friend, was responsible for serving superb food to the guests. |

Kiln House lunches may not be as grand as the Swiss ones but Sue guarantees good home cooking. Her collection of cookery recipes span several decades and are chosen based on her love of food and passion for travel. Informal and friendly service is offered for the three course meal which takes place in the conservatory. Sues partner Graham is on hand too to help serve the food. A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16 are catered for and the host of the group selects a menu (prior to the function) . . Vegetarian choices are available together with a choice of delicious desserts. Guests bring along their own wine to celebrate the occasion and can enjoy a pre-lunch drink on the terrace, weather permitting. And just think you and your family and friends can all look forward to going home having enjoyed a stress free meal you havent cooked yourself and leave Sue with the washing up! | |
| CUSTOMERS COMMENTS Stephen and Pauline We are a group of friends 14 in number, who all enjoy good food, great company and an occasional Sunday meal. For some years we took it in turns to host a Sunday lunch but then we came across the magic of Susan! We tried it out - fabulous we thought. So now 6 times a year we meet for Sunday lunch at Kiln House. We bring our own wine and pre-lunch drinks, have a chat and then enjoy a leisurely lunch prepared by Susan. To describe these culinary treats in words does not fully impart the wonder of the dishes we enjoy, as well as the atmosphere and the pleasure of our friends company. John and Joan The delicious food of varying influences takes you back to a time of relaxation, losing that feeling of always being in a hurry to get to that next place in life. The welcome we receive is a real pleasure for us. Susans skills in food knowledge are amazing. We love it and visit the Kiln House regularly. |
